Advisory Council to the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC),

Pursuant to the Council Presidency Resolution No. (61 / 2022) issued on 28/10/2024,

The Supreme Council for Arab-African Economy hereby announces the accreditation and appointment of:

Dr. Ahmed Hussein Al-Attas (Saudi nationality)

to the position of Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs.

The aforementioned appointee is recognized as an international official in accordance with the advisory opinion issued by the International Court of Justice in 1949.

Accordingly, no individual has the right to detain, search, or undertake any investigative procedures against the appointee without prior authorization from the Organization, in accordance with the provisions of international treaties issued under the United Nations framework.

The appointee enjoys all international privileges and immunities granted under the following international agreements and treaties:

1. Articles 57, 63, and 105 of the United Nations Charter, 1945
2. The preparatory conference documents of the United Nations Conference in San Francisco, 1945, establishing the absolute immunity of international officials in all countries, including their country of nationality
3. Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of the United Nations, 1946
4. Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of the Specialized Agencies of the United Nations, 1947
5. Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, 1961

All authorities are kindly requested to facilitate the duties of the appointee and not to obstruct him in achieving the objectives of the Organization worldwide.
